Explorer - straight flight path and controlled glide
Why was the Explorer chosen as Disc of the Year 2018?
Well, it has a straight flight path and controlled glide, that's what the Explorer provides.
Designed to be the workhorse for all types of accurate fairway shots.
This stable and versatile fairway driver releases smoothly from the hand and has a stable flight path.
Retro plastic provides good grip and is beginner-friendly
Good grip and beginner-friendly flight lines. This is the perfect plastic blend for a first disc.
This is also Latitude 64's most affordable plastic. Latitude 64 has long wanted to make Discs that brakes more easily.
Test after test led Latitude 64 to this plastic mix which is called Retro.
Over- or under-stable
Over- or under-stable explains whether the disc goes right or left for right-handed backhand throwers.
Add turn + Fade, if the sum is below 0 the disc is under-stable.
If the sum is 0, it is a neutral disc and if the sum is over 1, the disc is overstable.
Understable = Right, Neutral = Straight, Overstable = Left.
If you are left-handed it is the other way around, also applies to a right-handed person throwing forehand.
As a beginner, you should have an under-stable disc with low weight.
