Discmania Active Mermaid is a fairway driver that floats in the water. The disc is light with about 160 grams with a speed of 7, glide 4, turn -1 and fade 2. The disc's properties and weight make it a perfect disc for beginners.
The disc comes in several different color choices and with a mermaid stylishly printed as a motif. Mermaid is made of Discmania Active plastic and is lightweight, making it suitable for different weather conditions. This plastic provides a firm grip.
Discmania Active plastic
Active plastic is the base level plastic from Discmania, available in all products. This solid plastic compound provides a good grip in all weather conditions.
Over- or under-stable
Over- or under-stable explains whether the disc goes right or left for right-handed backhand throwers.
Add turn + Fade, if the sum is below 0 the disc is under-stable.
If the sum is 0, it is a neutral disc and if the sum is over 1, the disc is overstable.
Understable = Right, Neutral = Straight, Overstable = Left.
If you are left-handed it is the other way around, also applies to a right-handed person throwing forehand.
As a beginner, you should have an under-stable disc with low weight.
