Disc that fills the gap between midrange and putters
The Prodigy A5 is a slightly overstable approach disc that will hold a straighter line.
It has a nice, smooth feel with a shallow profile and flat top, making it ideal for sidearm approaches.
It handles torque well and has a gentle fade at the end, so it doesn't land too far from the target.
400 plastic gives you good grip even when wet
Prodigy's 400 Plastic is a premium blend of materials that is extremely durable.
The unique blend of plastics feels as good as it looks and will come into play over time.
This tour quality plastic gives the thrower a really good grip, even when wet.
What does A5 mean?
Prodigy has very logical names for their disks.
A= Approach and 5= 1-7 indicates how over or under stable the disk is.
A low number means over stable and the higher the number the more under stable the disk is.
Over- or under-stable
Over- or under-stable explains whether the disc goes right or left for right-handed backhand throwers.
Add turn + Fade, if the sum is below 0 the disc is under-stable.
If the sum is 0, it is a neutral disc and if the sum is over 1, the disc is overstable.
Understable = Right, Neutral = Straight, Overstable = Left.
If you are left-handed it is the other way around, also applies to a right-handed person throwing forehand.
As a beginner, you should have an under-stable disc with low weight.
