A long-flying distance driver for all skill levels
TD is back and better than ever! Discmania is pleased to announce the reintroduction of a favorite among distance drivers to suit players of all levels. TD, formerly affectionately known as "Rush", offers an extremely neutral flight path with enough versatility to handle a wide variety of shot angles when you need it. Compared to some other drivers in the Originals series, the TD has a very soft contour throughout, providing a natural feel in the hand with a gradual shaft, rounded nose and smooth transition to the lower part of the wing. Players who are not fond of the abrupt or "sharper" feel of flashing on some Discs will appreciate how comfortable this one is to hold.
The TD was one of the first distance drivers in Discmania's lineup, and although it rarely appeared in the very top positions of the best-seller lists, it always enjoyed solid popularity among players who appreciate a versatile driver with plenty of glide. It's no secret that during the time of Discmania's US-based production, the discs' flight characteristics could sometimes vary greatly from one production run to another. With the redefined TD shape, created in Discmania's Swedish production facility, the goal was to bring together the very best aspects of the TD series from the past and package the final result with a state-of-the-art feel and finish.
The Discmania TD is in many ways like a longer FD, so the lateral movement is kept nicely in check, while the excellent glide takes the disc far down the fairway. It has a very ergonomic edge, as the underside of the wing is not as concave as on many other drivers. This gives it a ball-like shape so it fits perfectly in your hand.
Want to compare it to something else you're already familiar with? Think of it as a longer-flying Essence with that familiar rounded and ergonomic feel to the disc's overall shape.
Discmania S-line plastic
Excellent grip in all weather conditions with great durability. This plastic ages well, meaning that the discs do not change drastically in their flight behavior after a couple of collisions with trees.
Over- or under-stable
Over- or under-stable explains whether the disc goes right or left for right-handed backhand throwers.
Add turn + Fade, if the sum is below 0 the disc is under-stable.
If the sum is 0, it is a neutral disc and if the sum is over 1, the disc is overstable.
Understable = Right, Neutral = Straight, Overstable = Left.
If you are left-handed it is the other way around, also applies to a right-handed person throwing forehand.
As a beginner, you should have an under-stable disc with low weight.
