Explorer - straight flight path and controlled glide
Latitude 64 Gold Orbit Explorer - Lauri Lehtinen 2023, a fairway driver designed to provide exceptional control and accuracy on the disc golf course. As part of Latitude 64's Team Series lineup, the Gold Orbit Explorer showcases the company's commitment to supporting its athletes and delivering top-notch Discs for players of all levels.
Why was the Explorer chosen as Disc of the Year 2018?
Well, it has a straight flight path and controlled glide, that's what the Explorer provides.
Designed to be the workhorse for all types of accurate fairway shots.
This stable and versatile fairway driver releases smoothly from the hand and has a stable flight.
Gold is Latitude 64's premium plastic.
The beginning of the mix has been the same branded plastic used in Opto but they have added a different polymer to give it better grip without losing the excellent durability of Opto.
Over- or under-stable
Over- or under-stable explains whether the disc goes right or left for right-handed backhand throwers.
Add turn + Fade, if the sum is below 0 the disc is under-stable.
If the sum is 0, it is a neutral disc and if the sum is over 1, the disc is overstable.
Understable = Right, Neutral = Straight, Overstable = Left.
If you are left-handed it is the other way around, also applies to a right-handed person throwing forehand.
As a beginner, you should have an under-stable disc with low weight.
